Product Review Guidelines
Thank you for considering me as a potential reviewer for your product. Please find below my guidelines for product reviews. I only accept products I’m personally interested in and can see myself using on my travels, creating my videos, building 4WD vehicles, camper trailers, or which will aid me in the preparation of this.
I’m always transparent with my viewers in regard to the arrangement we have. I will never do paid reviews.
Product Review
I am committed to providing an honest opinion of the product, based on my personal experience of using it for a period of 6-12 months. I will discuss both the positives and negatives of the product and will conduct additional research on its technology, design, and build to support my findings. Please note that no product is perfect, and I will present my feedback as it is. If I am satisfied with the product, I will likely continue to use it regularly and share my experiences over time.
The following conditions apply to all products I review:
1. Product Receipt and Ownership: I receive the products at no cost or at a previously agreed-upon media price, in exchange for non-exclusive rights to the content I create through the specific channel it was published on. You are welcome to embed, share, or reference my content as you wish, but you may not use my content to create new material, modify it in any way, or distribute it via any other platform without a written agreement on the matter.
2. Content and Reach: I cannot guarantee viewer numbers, reach, or demographics, but I always strive to promote the video to the best of my ability through all my social media channels.
3. Option to Return: If I choose not to proceed with a review, I retain the option to return the product. However, I may still discuss the product.
4. Assessment and Review Format: I will assess the product based on my judgment, either as a standalone review or as part of a travel video. Products that are valued at or discounted over AU$1500 may receive an exclusive review, while those with lower value may be featured in a segment or travel video.
5. Post-Review: Any product provided to me will become my property unless we have made an alternative, written arrangement. After reviewing the product, I may choose to keep it, sell it, or give it away at my discretion.
6. Content Creation: I oversee every aspect of the content, and though I welcome your input on distinctive features, it is ultimately my decision on what I deem significant based on my usage.
7. Impartiality and Comparisons: As a fair and helpful tester, I always strive to remain impartial and open-minded. Therefore, I do not offer exclusive endorsements and reserve the right to review any product or service that I feel is appropriate, regardless of the country or market. Additionally, I may compare similar products within the same market segment to provide the best possible recommendations.
8. Review Feedback: I usually have complete freedom to express myself, and my content is typically not subject to review before publication. However, in cases where the product is technologically intricate, I may make exceptions. Any feedback received is solely for addressing technical inaccuracies.
9. Issue Resolution: If I come across a notable issue with a product, I prefer to inform you first and provide an opportunity for you to clarify or address the concern. Additionally, I may offer suggestions for enhancements. In the event that I suspect a product is defective, I may postpone the review and allow you the opportunity to rectify the situation. I kindly request that you verify the functionality and quality of each product before submitting it to me.
10. Installation and Duration: I have the freedom to install and remove equipment from my vehicle as I see fit. Although I may test out different products, I typically keep most reviewed gear on my car for at least 6-12 months. If I like a product, it will likely remain on my vehicle for continued use and exposure.
11. Long-Term Relationships: I prefer building long-lasting relationships with companies that prioritise creating exceptional products and providing excellent customer support.
