• We have minimal to no 4WDing experience. Is the tour still suitable for us?

Absolutely! We will have two experienced guides take you through driver training on your first day and they will be on hand to support you throughout the entire trip.

  • We don’t yet own a 4WD or camping equipment but would like to come on a tour. Do you have an option for us?

Yes we do. Together with our business partners at Bear rentals we can get you behind the wheel of a Land Rover Defender with all the camping equipment you need to join us on one of our tours. We’ll even show you the in’s and out’s of driving it. We have you covered.

  • Does my 4WD need to be modified or have any accessories?

As a minimum requirement we would ask that you have recovery points at the front and rear of the vehicle, UHF radio and All Terrain tyres with at least 60 -70% tread left on them. Your vehicle also needs to have low and high range with good ground clearance. Anything beyond this is a bonus. “Soft roaders” and all wheel drive cars are not suitable.

  • How do we know what to bring?

When you book a tour and we receive your deposit we will send you a briefing pack that outlines the trip itinerary, recommended gear to bring including spares for your vehicle, food/ water requirements and the first day’s training material for your familiarisation.

  • Can we bring our camper trailer?

That will depend on the tour. Some terrain is really not suitable for towing a trailer. Give us a call or drop us an email and we can let you know.

  • What are the camp facilities like?

Our tours provide a mixture of National Parks camp grounds and bush camps. Some will have toilet facilities and there will be cooking facilities available (fire & hotplate or gas BBQ). Where adequate water is available, we will provide a bush shower.

  • Will we be driving all day on the tour?

Not at all. We allow plenty of time for you to take in the scenery, relax and enjoy an easy pace. As well as the stops for sight seeing, we will stop for morning tea and lunch and set up camp well before dark.
