The Victorian high country is a magical place. You will be hard pressed to find another location where you can experience the combination of awesome open vistas from Australia’s highest peaks and seemingly just around the corner Victoria’s deepest gorge awaits. Harbouring beautiful rivers and thick native forests with ferns and towering gum trees, the high country never ceases to surprise with stunning wildlife, historic huts and mining sites, and some of the best four-wheel driving available.
At Land Rover Adventure Tours we like a take a slightly different approach than many other tour operators by adopting Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken” approach. We offer tours for the more adventurous travellers and whilst we will do some signature tracks like Billy Goat Bluff or Bluerage, we keep the adventurer’s spirit alive by taking you to some incredible places very few people have seen.
With two fully equipt support vehicles with experienced operators, one leading the convoy and one at the rear, you are never without support and guidance. In fact the tour will begin with driver training and environmental awareness on the the first day so that a common ”baseline” of skills can be established. Due to the nature of the environment being travelled through, it is essential for both the safety of the group as well as our care for the land we are visiting that the training be completed.
